Sophia Kadi is a collaborator, educator and multi-instrumentalist from Virginia.

Sophia Kadi earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from James Madison University. Since 2017, she has taught students of all ages across the Tidewater, Shenandoah, and Richmond regions, gaining experience in both public and private sectors. Her teaching background includes one-on-one instruction, group classes, community events, and traditional classroom settings.

She currently holds multiple roles: Activity Assistant Leader with Parks and Recreation, “Mommy and Me” Music Facilitator at the Virginia Beach School of the Arts, Music Director at Heritage United Methodist Church, and Elementary General Music Teacher at Windsor Oaks Elementary School.

Outside of teaching, she is an active performer and composer. She plays piano in the band ZINIA, produces and writes music under her solo project 4la7la, and composes original soundtracks and soundscapes for film.

She believes music is a vital part of a well-rounded life—an inherently spiritual and communal experience that deepens our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. In her spare time, she enjoys reading nonfiction, cooking, taking walks, and spending time with family, friends, and her two cats.
